We are here to help you maintain their health.

We like to see you at regular intervals (we'll advise the optimum level for your own dental health) so we can screen the whole mouth - including teeth, gums, bones, tissues inside the mouth etc, for any signs of early problems.

This way, we can suggest any corrective or preventive measures to preserve the health of your teeth and gums. There are no dental restorations as strong or as good as your own teeth.

Hygienist Appointments
We recommend you see one of our hygienists regularly too. Hygienists are specialists in gum care and their job is to help you control dental plaque and tartar.

Dental plaque is the white film that collects on teeth and gums and if allowed to collect will form the hard deposit known as tartar or calculus.

Repairs, restorations and reconstructions
We also restore broken or damaged teeth and gums. We endeavour to:

preserve as much of the healthy tooth as we can (remember nothing is as good or strong as the real thing!)
use the best materials and techniques we can for the job, so the result is as strong as possible, and as close to the original tooth as possible.

We are constantly reinvesting in the practice, to take advantage of the very latest proven discoveries.

One of our biggest investments in recent years is CEREC (CEramic REConstruction). This computer based treatment (see the picture) allows us to complete your restoration work in one visit (usually 90 minutes). Whether you need a small filling or a more complex crown the CEREC produces long lasting, natural looking, non-metal restorations.

For you that means

  less drilling
  no impressions
  no temporaries
no waiting to have the restoration fitted

In one visit
  your tooth is prepared
a digital image of the tooth is taken
a ceramic block is milled while you wait
  your restoration is fitted
We are proud to be one of the first UK practices to invest in CEREC - and at the time of writing, we are still only one of 42 CEREC users in the country!
